Sarah and Dmitrie who live in Canada, chose the charming town of Argentona, Barcelona as the backdrop for their wedding. Their celebration was a beautiful blend of cultures—timeless and romantic, with heartfelt nods to Dmitre’s Russian heritage throughout the day.
The two day celebration began at the Hotel Seventy Barcelona where the couple also chose to stay over the two day period. Both Sarah and Dmitrie stayed in a lavish duplex suite that was over two floors.
To kick off the wedding celebrations, the couple warmly welcomed their loved ones to a stylish gathering at Seventy, nestled in the heart of Barcelona. It was the perfect start to a weekend of unforgettable moments and meaningful memories.
Bell Recó was the chosen venue for their special day, a perfect reflection of the couple’s vision. Its timeless charm and elegance beautifully complemented the atmosphere they dreamed of creating: classic Old Hollywood glamour, seamlessly blended with traditional touches throughout the celebration.
A venue deeply rooted with history which took over 12 years to complete. Originally a manor house of the Catalan bourgeoisie, this exclusive estate is nestled in the verdant landscape of the Maresme region. Both Sarah and Dmitrie chose to take full advantage of the incredible venue and spent the morning getting ready there. Sarah and her bridal party had the beautiful Ladies Suite to themselves!
Throughout the Wedding the couple choose to have heartfelt moments with their family and friends. Dmitre and his groomsmen shared a meaningful moment as he gifted each of them a personalized pocket comb as a thoughtful keepsake to remember the day and the bond they share. Following this the bride had a First Look with her father, brother and soon to be husband which was a moment to remember.
A timeless black and white monochrome theme flowed throughout the wedding, reflected in the florals, textures, and décor. The bride chose sophisticated black satin dresses for her bridesmaids, adding a touch of classic elegance. White flowers adorned every corner, with the bride carrying a stunning bouquet of white peonies – classic and utterly graceful.
At the ceremony, the couple’s timeless vision came to life with a classic white floral theme, framed by an ethereal arch crafted from hazelnut trees and clouds of baby’s breath that surrounded them as they became husband and wife. A beautiful tradition that stood out was the breaking of the bread at the Ceremony, which is a ritual that signifies a couple’s commitment to caring for each other and sharing life’s difficulties.
Tying in with the monochrome theme, black bows were used as a subtle, elegant detail throughout the day. A memorial chair featured photos of loved ones, gently tied with black ribbons. Reserved ceremony seats were marked with bows, as were the welcome cava glasses during cocktail hour. Even the serviettes carried the theme, each one finished with a simple black ribbon—small touches that tied all the details together.
Dinner was held in the hall, setting the scene for an unforgettable evening. With a sea of individual candle lights and white floral arrangements everywhere you turned. The celebration truly kicked off with the couple’s entrance an undeniably one to remember. As they arrived, the wedding party danced in with such energy that the cava tower was accidentally knocked over. It was quickly rebuilt just in time for the couple to make their toast, turning a mishap into a memorable moment full of laughter and joy!
