A couple from the States with a deep affection for Barcelona—a city they’ve returned to time and time again. They share a mutual passion for architecture, art, and gastronomy which made Barcelona the perfect place for their Wedding!
Jaclyn and Bryan’s celebratory weekend all began at the glamorous Hotel Condes in the epicentre of Modernist Barcelona where they hosted their rooftop Welcome event. This venue in particular is known for its incredible culinary experience by the prestigious chef, Martin Berasategui. They welcomed both sides of the family and friends in the sunshine to begin the celebrations!
To honour their Chinese culture and heritage, on the morning of the Wedding, they had a Tea Ceremony. This ritual is a significant part of honouring tradition and joining two families in a harmonious union. Following the Tea Ceremony Bryan and his groomsmen went on to complete a series of challenges to see his future wife. These challenges consisted of them having to eat Oreos with a variety of unusual dips such as Ketchup, Mustard and many more! Another one of the challenges was to work as a team to put on underwear by only using their feet.
The Wedding Day was set in the breathtaking venue Castell de Sant Marçal. With Jaclyn and Bryan, we designed their wedding to have an elegant and sophisticated feel throughout the day. Jaclyn’s something blue was all around her and you can see this in the florals, bridesmaids and groomsmen. This can be seen in the sea of white and blue ethereal floral arrangements that surrounded the couple and their guests. In particular, the florals that line the wedding aisle.
Post Ceremony the Wedding Party and guests went on to the reception, which was divided into a Cocktail hour in the gardens of the Castell, followed by the dinner outside under the Chestnut Trees. The touches of whites and blues continued here with the addition of gold which was added through the chair and the stunning crystal bohemian chandeliers. Another homage to their Chinese heritage was when they played a series of games at dinner with their guests where they had the opportunity to win a bottle of Veuve Clicquot! To finish the Dinner the couple chose to have a spectacular Dessert Buffet that offered their guests an array of delicious treats.
After this spectacular dinner, the couple had a party to remember. Jaclyn, Bryan and the guests were surrounded by disco balls, popping bottles of champagne and a live saxophonist that played along with the DJ. The first dance set the tone for the evening with an upbeat number and an amazing fireworks display.
The following day the couple had a lovely brunch with all their loved ones at the luxurious hotel Almanac in the heart of Barcelona. It was the perfect way to wind down and bring the Wedding weekend to a close.
Lastly, keep an eye out during the three-day celebration for Jaclyn and Bryan’s beloved dog, Bailey—who’s sure to steal the spotlight more than once! Each day, guests eagerly anticipated her next look, always perfectly coordinated with Jaclyn’s outfit. Yes, she even has her own Instagram account!
