When you think of your destination wedding in Barcelona, do you automatically envisage yourselves at a seafront venue? If so, then this post is for you!
The region of Catalonia is well know in Spain for its beautiful coastline. Starting with the famous Costa Brava in the north of Catalonia, with picturesque rocky cliffs embracing small coves of beautiful turquoise water, the old fishing villages that surround Barcelona, to the long sandy beaches in the south, with picture perfect evenings where the sun sets on the horizon.
The Catalan seafront was one to defend years ago, which means that different civilisations that lived here left their landmarks which are now converted into beautiful wedding venues with exception sea views.

XALET DEL NIN
One of my favourites, The Xalet del Nin, near the village of Sitges, is situated on a natural point surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, sat on top of an ancient inhabited village and vineyard. The Villa dates back to 1913 when the Nin family built this beauty as their Summer house.
The Villa has been beautifully refurbished and is now used as a luxury wedding and events venue.

The venue is very diverse and has many gardens and terraces offering you to possibility to choose where to host your ceremony, cocktail party and reception, meaning your whole wedding can be outdoors, from the ceremony to the al fresco dinning reception.
Their Plan B in case of rain is not really what we could call the normal indoor ball room.
The Umbracle is practically a piece of art, a beautifully build conservatory, with a parasol shaped roof and glass walls which become doors that you can have open or closed according to the day’s weather and temperature, giving you a sense of being outdoors whilst being indoors.
Later on in the night, the party will take place in the ground floor of the venue, which will naturally overflow on to the patio.

The venue also offers accommodation for up to 16 guests, allowing you to have a Paella & Pool party the day after your wedding, relaxing in their beautifully landscaped gardens, dipping in their breathtaking infinity pool.

EL FAR
A historical landmark of Catalonia, an elegant boutique hotel situated on top of a cliff in the heart of the Costa Brava, on the mountain of Sant Sebastian. CASTELL DE TAMARIT
A sure example of a Romanesque arquetecture, dating back to the 11th century, this castle stands on the shoreline stones bordering the coast.
Your ceremony can take place on the terrace that points out on to sea, the interior courtyard or the hidden historical chapel.

MASIA CASA DEL MAR
The Casa del Mar is one of a kind building. Sat on the coastline, surrounded by woodland. The house undertook a major restoration a few years ago, turning it into a Stylish Mediterranean Villa.
The Ceremony takes place in the rustic styled mediterranean gardens, facing the sea.

EL CONVENT DE BLANES
The Convent de Blanes is sits on the point where the Costa Brava starts. The remains of what used to be an old convent, build back in 1958.
We will plan and design your wedding ceremony in the Mediterranean Gardens, a breathtaking view point that overlooks the coastline and the village of Blanes.
