Lorelei has always had a special connection with the Costa Brava, Empordà area as herself and her family have always spent their summer holidays in this location. 

It was on one of these family holidays in Port Lligat that Michael discovered Cortal Gran, and thought it would be an amazing location for them to get married, so it was almost certain that when he popped the question, this amazing location was going to be where they exchanged their vows.
